So I decided to get some help and make my life easier learning how to blog and coming up with ideas for my blog. This one here is just to free type whatever comes to mind for 20 minutes. Sounds like a lot of typing for me, but we shall see after the timer goes off.
This Easter weekend that passed, I volunteered at church working the stationary cameras. I worked the 2 services on Friday and 3 on Saturday. Needless to say I was tired after that. But I work with a great bunch of people and they make it worthwhile and it is great to provide something that many people can relate to. Also to make it easier for those to see what is going on during music and sermon for those of us that have our vision going. Mine isn’t bad yet, but anything to make it easier on my eyes isn’t a bad thing.
Now moving on to my dog, Virgil. He is a rescue and mostly Rhodesian Ridgeback with a little German Shepherd and I think Pit Bull. Sweetest dog ever, but very anxious around people he doesn’t know. He has hip dysplasia and has torn the CCL on both his knees (equivalent of the ACL on humans). There really is only so much we can do for him as full hip replacement and both knee replacement is not an option. Not only are they expensive, but they would have to be done in stages. One at a time. And while he is healing from one he could fully blow out one of his knees. The quality of life for him going thru all of that is not something we even want to put him through and his knees would never be fully corrected from surgery. So we are taking the pain management approach. We give him a anti-inflammatory, pain medicine for chonic pain and a regular pain medicine twice a day. He is doing well with that and we are limiting him from running and jumping around, but make sure he gets to play with us either on the couch or bed where he isn’t on his back legs much. He is such a joyful dog that he had to deal with this at all and not be able to run around with other dogs breaks my heart. But he is very loved by all of us and that includes our 19yr cat, Lady. They are the best of friends and when he lays down and it is not long before she appears to lay up next to him. I think it does help him. And she even suffers him cleaning her. One lick pretty much cleans one side of her. But if he does it too much she lets him know.
Other than that I am happily unemployed as I left my job in January after 14yrs as the environment was toxic and did not know the toll it had on me til I left it. I feel like a new person and I have energy and just so much more positive than I have ever been in years. Best decision EVER! So I have been Spring Cleaning our home as we plan on putting it on the market later this year and studying as I will begin an 8wk Coding immersion boot camp starting April 20th. I want to be ahead of the class so I can get a job sooner. I am excited about it and can’t wait to start. I actually have a few friends out there I might be able to find a job through, but that is a little bit in the future. First I have to get the camp done and network around the end of class. Though one week of class they do some networking with local companies.
Well that’s the end of 20 minutes. Not too painful. 🙂

Thanks Mary! Does Chris show on my profile? As that is my husband and I may have accidently used his name instead of mine.
