2nd Week finish and brain syncing

I have missed creating blog posts for a few days now and I know you have all missed me (Ha ha!). I am also catching up on all the blogs I follow.  There are a few I am following that are really inspirational and motivate me to do something, anything and everything! 🙂  I really need those kickstarts some days and really have missed them.

The 2nd week of coding was a lot of information to process again (no surprise there), but some of it is starting to stick to my brain.  Over the weekend I finally found my groove and realized that mapping works for me to remember all this information.  Co-workers I have trained in the past would already know this, since I usually used MS Word and put notes in one column and screenshots in the column next to the notes.  It makes it easier to figure out what you are missing and follow along from there in the notes.  My problem here is that I am using a MacBook and I am a little slow moving around on it still.  Windows still chants my name as it misses me.  I kind of miss it, but the Mac lulling me over to the dark side.

So TeamTreehouse.com and me, have been best friends this weekend and I have created a good base to refer back to when needed  If you are considering going into a programming career, I highly recommend TeamTreehouse.com.  The part of the site that I have found very useful are the courses that start at the very beginner level that As long as you know how to cut on your computer and at least be able to get on the internet without help, you are good to go.

Each video has a video transcript and teacher notes for each lesson.  My favorite item to use is the pause button! So I can pause the video, make my notes, if I misheard look at the time on the video and then find that time stamp in the video transcript and make my notes from there and of course screenshots.  Having the ability to pause and make a screenshot and my own notes has helped me more that anything else.

Having the class and then the website together is giving me a more comprehensive learning experience that I will be able to do more than the class or TeamTreehouse alone.
