My name is Kelly Curtis and I’m beginning a new career at 43. I have decided to learn and conquer website development/programming after 14 years underwriting in the Commercial Insurance world and being miserable for the last 5 years.
This blog is to help myself and anyone who is interested in starting a new career in programming with little or no experience.

Hi Kelly! I am also switching careers into web development. I am enrolled in a 4 month bootcamp that will start on June 8, 2015. So nice to find someone else who is of a like mind. Good luck with all of your career switch!

Thanks! Quite a few people in my class have quit their jobs as they hated their job and wanted to do something else. We are very motivated. Who is doing your bootcamp? I went with Tech Talent South, since my next door neighbor took it and had a job before he finished the camp. Good Luck and I hope my blog helps.

My camp is called codeup. (www.codeup.com) I heard a lot of good things about them before I applied. They have job placement assistance which is ultimately why I chose them in the end. I’m really nervous about leaving my job. Your blog is helping me by showing me that this is possible. Please keep blogging! But I do understand that you are going to be very busy.

Well I am here for you. I know this is new territory for me but I really do think this will give me a better appreciation for myself and time for friends and family. Please feel free to ask me about it. I am surw I have missed things in my blogs that will help others.
